MIT Weighs the Pros and Cons of Creating a Web Page for Almost All Courses
Administrators and faculty members at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are debating what could become a $100-million effort to create extensive Web pages for nearly every course the university offers.
Under the concept, which was proposed by a committee of faculty members and administrators, the university would publish a vast collection of course materials on the Web, although it would not deliver the courses to students at a distance.
