MIT Researchers Cleared of Misconduct
A Department of Defense investigation has cleared two Massachusetts Institute of Technology missile-defense researchers of fraud.
A report on the investigation's findings said the two researchers, who work for MIT's Lincoln Laboratory, "should have more prominently emphasized caveats and limitations" in presenting the results of their 1998 examination of software planned for a missile-defense system. But, the report said, the researchers' actions "do not rise to the level of research
