Low Lead for Your Turf
To the Editor:
As a university professor and scientist, I know that facts must always take precedence over falsehoods and scare tactics. Therefore, as a consultant to FieldTurf, a manufacturer of artificial turf with crumb rubber infill, I believe it's important to consider all aspects of its use on college campuses ("Lead Levels in Sports Fields Raise Fears in 4 States," The Chronicle, May 2).
