Los Angeles County Considers Severing Its Ties With a Troubled Medical School
Los Angeles County officials have threatened to sever ties with the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science amid escalating accusations that errors by poorly supervised residents are harming, and even killing, patients at the public hospital.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors ordered the director of the county's health department to recommend this week whether the county should drop its affiliation with the medical school. The county is paying the university
