The Chronicle of Higher Education: Live Discussions

Innovators in Internationalization

Thursday, September 10, at 12 noon, U.S. Eastern time

As American colleges get serious about internationalization, a single institution could sign dozens of overseas partnerships, send hundreds of students abroad, and have faculty members engaged in a thousand or more international research projects. But while a study-abroad office might tally the number of students spending a semester overseas or an academic department might record its research relationships, the University of Cincinnati has developed a single, comprehensive system, known as UCosmic, for tracking the breadth of its international activities and agreements. Join Mitch Leventhal and Daniel J. Ludwig of the University of Cincinnati for the latest in a series of talks on how colleges have tackled some of the basic challenges of internationalizing their campuses.
