Little Help for Colleges in N.Y. State Budget
New York's two public-college systems were left facing weeks of fiscal uncertainty -- and the possibility of flat budgets for the year ahead -- as lawmakers this month adopted a bare-bones budget intended mainly to keep the state government in operation.
