Limiting the Debate on Israeli Policy
To the Editor:
It is important to note that criticism of Israeli policy as separate from the Jewish religion is no different from criticism of Iraqi policy as separate from the Muslim religion ("A Surge of Anti-Semitism or McCarthyism?," October 4). ... Those who make charges of anti-Semitism are crying foul unjustifiably, and are far too much like President Bush when he claims that any criticism of American policy is unpatriotic.
