Liberal-Arts Colleges Create Joint Effort for Online Courses
Small liberal-arts colleges have been slower than many other institutions in providing robust online-education programs. Now many of them want to catch up.
About 40 small and midsized colleges have formed a consortium to share online courses and raise money to create more of them. Called the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities, the group hopes to defray the costs of providing a large selection of online courses.
