Leaving Grants.gov to the Experts
To the Editor:
I believe that many of us who have submitted applications through Grants.gov have experienced at least one of Carol Kolmerten's frustrations ("Why Grants.gov Should Be Abolished," Careers, January 12).
At the same time, I feel compelled to defend a few features of Grants.gov. First, it allows those who use it to recheck their submissions for errors and resubmit right up until the deadline. This is unlike the experience of dropping a proposal in the mail and waking
