Learning Gaps Worry Community Colleges
The most-pressing problems facing colleges nationwide are the flagging academic performances of some students and achievement gaps along gender and ethnic lines, according to community-college trustees and presidents who gathered in Orlando, Fla., this month for the annual meeting of the Association of Community College Trustees.
