Learning About the Land and Its History From a CD
For years, Dan Bauer had watched housing developments and strip malls work their way north toward Easton and Nazareth, in eastern Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, consuming open space and historic sites along the way.
"We started to think about how could we improve people's sense of what they have," says Mr. Bauer, a professor of anthropology at Lafayette College. "I suggested that an auto tour might be a way to deal with it."
