Le Tour de Campus at Alfred U.
The wheels of innovation are turning at Alfred University. This month the admissions office introduced a new way to take the campus tour: on a bicycle built for seven.
Student tour guides get to steer the 14-pedaled contraption, which was made by a Dutch company called Conference Bike. The machine cost Alfred about $8,750, a small price to pay for such a unique experience, says Jodi S. Bailey, the university's director of marketing.
