Lawrence U. Receives Prehistoric Indian Artifacts
Lawrence University is the new owner of a significant collection of prehistoric American Indian artifacts, thanks to a love of archaeology that was shared for decades by one of the university's professors and a businessman.
In his will, the Wisconsin businessman, Edward Wells, who died last year, left the university the collection, which includes 30,000 artifacts -- some dating to 10,000 B.C. The objects are scheduled to go on display
