Lawmakers in House Seem Unlikely to Raise AmeriCorps Budget
Lawmakers on a House of Representatives appropriations subcommittee told AmeriCorps officials at a hearing last month that they were not likely to meet President Clinton's full request for the 2001 fiscal year to increase spending on the national-service program.
