Law Schools and Diversity
To the Editor:
The National Bar Association welcomes the proposal of the American Bar Association's Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar for new equal-opportunity standards for law-school admissions (Ways & Means, The Chronicle, March 17). Although we applaud this effort, we think more needs to be done. Diversity in the legal profession is critically important to the fairness of our justice system.
Opponents of the proposed changes claim they go too far,
