Latin American Countries Use Study Abroad to Further International Goals
While Latin American higher education remains quite insular, there are signs that it is developing strong ties within the hemisphere, said delegates at a conference here this week.
The most prominent example is Brazil's Scientific Mobility Program, which aims to send 101,000 students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to top-ranked foreign universities by 2015.
