Research Redux: Bush Again Proposes a Flat NIH Budget and Large Increases for Physical Sciences

President Bush is known for sticking to his decisions, for better or worse. That trait was clearly on display in his 2009 budget for scientific research, which differed little from those of recent years. On the "worse" side, Mr. Bush would provide no increase for the National Institutes of Health.
