Landmark Digital History Monograph Project Goes Open Access
Gutenberg-e, a high-profile digital scholarship project, has undergone a significant shift in its strategies for disseminating award-winning history monographs.
Last fall, without much fanfare, Gutenberg-e was made available in an open access format through Columbia University's libraries. The project's publisher, Columbia University Press, agreed to that move, but only after previously making changes in its own subscription model for the project. The press is now making the 36 titles
