La. Law Changes College Governance
Under a bill signed into law this month by the governor of Louisiana, the state's 40 technical colleges might become a new division of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, and each would get its own line in the state budget. Critics of the legislation say it is not only unconstitutional but also unclear in the structural changes it requires.
