LSU President Takes Unpaid Leave to Serve on Corporate Boards
Sean O'Keefe, chancellor of Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, is a busy man.
In addition to the typical battery of tasks faced by a new university chief, Mr. O'Keefe, who took the helm in February, led the university while it assumed a prominent role in disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina. On top of that, he recently took 14 hours of leave without pay to attend corporate board meetings, according to a widely circulated report by The Times-Picayune.
