Kentucky Adds Online Tools for High-School Students Preparing for College

Kentucky officials plan to help high-school students prepare for college by expanding the use of online tools, like Advanced Placement courses and a math test administered over the Internet.

State lawmakers say they will be working to strengthen the online services even in the face of a possible budget deficit caused by the shrinking economy. Meanwhile, proponents of the programs say they are also looking at alternative ways of paying for them.
