Kent State U. Settles Sex-Bias Complaint
After lengthy negotiations with the U.S. Labor Department, Kent State University has agreed to settle a seven-year-old complaint of sex discrimination by paying a total of $219,000 to 24 current and former female faculty members.
The American Association of University Professors filed a complaint against the university with the Labor Department in 1993 on behalf of 124 female professors who believed they were unfairly paid less than male professors and
