Kent State Agrees to EPA Settlement
Kent State University has agreed to pay more than $500,000, including a $50,000 fine, to resolve a citation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
EPA officials said the level of smoke from the university's coal-fired heating plant, which has since been replaced, violated the Clean Air Act.
