Kennedy Plans Bill to Expand Loan Eligibility
In response to concerns that the recent withdrawals of lenders from the student-loan market could make it harder for students to obtain private loans next fall, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is preparing legislation to expand eligibility for federal student loans, an aide to the Massachusetts Democrat told the Career College Association at a forum last week.
