Keep 'Moral Certainties' Out of the Classroom
To the Editor:
I sympathize to some extent with Andrew Sabl in his frustration over students' "complacent immoralism" as he teaches political ethics ("Torture as a Case Study: How to Corrupt Your Students," The Chronicle Review, November 11). I have had similar experiences with students who come to my moral-issues classes with racial prejudices. ...
Yet I think that Professor Sabl's concern that he is corrupting his students by teaching them about possible "ticking bomb"
