Kabul University Open, Taking Women
Afghanistan's leading higher-education institution, Kabul University, which has been rumored to be closed, is in fact open and has had some female students in its medical school, according to an American academic.
Many news reports have suggested that the ruling Taliban has shut all women out of schools, universities, and workplaces, effectively imprisoning them in their homes.
