Jury Awards $545,000 to Woman Who Sued Stanford U.
A federal jury awarded $545,000 last month to a former Stanford University researcher who charged that she had been fired in retaliation for complaining of sexual discrimination. She is one of several women who have lodged sex-bias complaints against Stanford with the U.S. Labor Department, which is investigating.
