Judge in Israel Acquits Student of Failing to Prevent Suicide Bombing
An Israeli Arab student accused of failing to prevent the suicide bombing of a bus in August 2002 was acquitted in Nazareth magistrate's court last month.
Yassera Bakri, a student at Safed College at the time, was riding in a bus from her home to the college.
According to the charges, a man warned her to get off the bus, implying that he was about to blow himself up. Bakri disembarked with a friend, and the suicide bomber blew up the bus soon afterward. Nine people were killed,
