Judge Says Kansas State U. Can Oust Newspaper Adviser
Kansas State University may remove the adviser for its student newspaper after all, a federal judge ruled at a hearing on July 14.
The previous week, the same judge temporarily blocked Kansas State from reassigning Ron Johnson, whom university officials decided not to reappoint as news adviser for the Kansas State Collegian following complaints about the newspaper's coverage of diversity issues on the campus this spring.
Mr. Johnson, who also holds a non-tenure-track teaching
