Judge Says Basketball Player's Suit Against U. of Cincinnati May Proceed
A former basketball player at the University of Cincinnati can sue the institution for allegedly defaming him during an investigation of its basketball program, a judge in Ohio ruled late last month.
Charles Williams, who played for the Bearcats in 1996 and 1997, has accused the university of breach of contract as well as defamation and other misdeeds.
