Judge Quashes Record-Industry Subpoenas for Names of Students

A federal judge in Boston in August quashed subpoenas that Boston College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology received in July from the Recording Industry Association of America. The judge ruled that the documents were filed in a court too far away from the Boston-area colleges.
