Judge Orders Texas University and Federal Agency to Mend Fence Dispute
A federal judge ordered the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the University of Texas at Brownsville on Monday to resume discussions on possible alternatives to a border fence that would slice off the campus's golf course and potentially inhibit cross-border exchanges.
The order, by Judge Andrew S. Hanen of the U.S. District Court at Brownsville, was welcome news to the university, which is run jointly with Texas Southmost College.
