Judge Issues Mixed Rulings in Case of Major Donor vs. Princeton U.
A New Jersey Superior Court judge released seven decisions in a case involving Princeton University and a major donor on Thursday, clearing the way for a trial in a closely watched lawsuit that could have serious implications for issues of donor intent and for philanthropic management in higher education and nonprofit organizations.
In issuing the rulings, Judge Neil H. Shuster set up guidelines for a trial, which has yet to be scheduled.
