Judge Affirms Validity of 'Bakke' in U. of Washington Affirmative-Action Lawsuit
A federal judge this month affirmed that the U.S. Supreme Court's Bakke decision, which supports the use of racial considerations in admissions decisions to achieve educational diversity, is still valid and will be a basis for deciding an affirmative-action lawsuit at the University of Washington's Law School.
