FAMOUS LAST WORDS: When George Yancy sat down to interview the philosopher Paul Weiss in May, he had no idea that their conversation would become the final "philosophical testimony" of the founder of The Review of Metaphysics, who died just two months later, at 101. Mr. Yancy, a fellow in the department of philosophy at Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, had asked Mr. Weiss to contribute an essay to an anthology he was editing, The Philosophical I: Personal Reflections on Life in Philosophy
