Journal of Feminism Explores Public and Scholarly Aspects

Janet Jakobsen says she and her colleagues had a simple goal in mind when they created their Web-based journal, The Scholar & Feminist Online. "Our mission was to act as a combination of public feminism and academic feminism," says Ms. Jakobsen, director of the Barnard Center for Research on Women at Columbia University's Barnard College.
