Johns Hopkins U. Names New President
Ronald J. Daniels, provost of the University of Pennsylvania, has been selected as the next president of the Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Daniels, whose research involves law, economics, and public policy, has been Penn's provost since 2005. He is credited with increasing the diversity of both the student body and the faculty, helping create a no-loan program for the neediest students, adding more international programs, and working across academic disciplines.
