Johns Hopkins Raises Campaign Goal
The Johns Hopkins University will extend its current fund-raising campaign by a year and increase the goal. It now hopes to raise $3.2-billion by the end of 2008. Late last year, the university surpassed its original goal of $2-billion two years before the campaign was to end.
William R. Brody, president of Johns Hopkins, revealed the new plan at a recent dinner with donors.
That news came on the heels of a flurry of announcements at Columbia, Cornell, and Stanford Universities,
