Johns Hopkins Leads Disaster Group
The Johns Hopkins University will lead a consortium conducting research on how the nation should prepare for and respond to major disasters, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced last week.
Johns Hopkins, which was chosen from among 34 applicants, will receive $15-million over the next three years for the consortium, which will consist of 22 colleges, research institutions, and medical organizations.
