John F. Kennedy and Achilles: Two of a Kind
At the heart of political science lies not a body of theory but a subject: politics and government. Thus, whenever we are vexed by puzzling political phenomena, we look to other disciplines for theoretical guidance. For a long time, sociology and psychology were the leading sources of inspiration. More recently, microeconomic and historical approaches have been ascendant.
Perhaps the time has come for us to look to the classics.
