John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation

Twenty-five fellows have been announced by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Each will receive an award of $500,000 over five years and will also be offered health insurance.

The fellowships, for which one cannot apply, are unrestricted, and recipients are free to use them as they please. Following are the names of the fellows, with their ages and fields of endeavor.
