Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., returned to teaching today, as an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College, according to the Associated Press. The news ends speculation about where she planned to continue her career.
While teaching two English courses this semester at the Annandale, Va., campus, Ms. Biden will use her political capital to focus on education issues, The Wall Street Journal reported. Her experience in higher education includes 15 years of teaching English composition at a Delaware community college.
Ms. Biden holds a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware. Her dissertation focused on maximizing student retention in community colleges, according to the White House. —Steven Bushong
