Ivy League Beats New Zealand Rival
You can't hide from the Ivy League, even in New Zealand. The country's highest court, in October, handed the Ivy League a decisive victory in a long-running trademark battle against a local company that had tried to use the conference's name for a new set of fashion accessories.
The New Zealand High Court overturned a January ruling that had allowed the company, Pacific Dunlop Asia, to use the term "Ivy League" as part of the logo for the clothing.
