Italy Cracks Down on Exam Selling
Police officers have collected "much new evidence" in the case of an alleged exam-selling ring at Rome's La Sapienza University, the largest university in Europe, the local newspaper Il Messaggero reported last month.
In a series of dawn raids in July, law-enforcement officials searched the homes and offices of 35 people associated with La Sapienza's law faculty and placed 18 people -- including faculty members, administrative-staff members, and students -- under house arrest
