Israeli Universities End 3-Month Strike by Tenured Professors Over Pay Issues
Israeli universities finally began their fall semesters last week, three months behind schedule, after the end of a 90-day strike by tenured professors. While faculty members were largely pleased with the deal that was reached, the lengthy strike has created a rift with some students, who said professors seemed to value their own careers more than their students'.
The strike was settled on January 18, after all-night talks that lasted 20 hours and involved representatives of the senior
