Israeli Institution Gets $20-Million Gift

An American donor who canceled payments on a multimillion-dollar pledge to an Israeli university in July has made a $20-million donation to another institution in the country.

The largest private contribution ever made to the Weizmann Institute of Science was announced last week at a celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the research institute and graduate school.
