Israeli Academic Is Among Those Accused of Forging Inscriptions on Antiquities
An investigation of artifacts purported to be the work of ancient Israelites led last month to the indictments of five alleged members of an antiquities forgery ring, including a doctoral student at the University of Haifa. Some scholars say the exposure of the forged objects will have little impact on historical and archaeological research.
