Iranian Professor Again Sentenced to Death
A regional court in Iran has reinstated a death sentence against a history professor who called on Iranians not to blindly follow the country's religious establishment.
Iran's Supreme Court, which had lifted an earlier death sentence, was expected to review the case again. But in an act of defiance, the professor, Hashem Aghajari, has decided not to appeal and is challenging Iran's conservative-dominated judiciary to carry out the sentence.
