Investment Debacle Involving Benefactor Could Prove Costly to U. of Oregon

The University of Oregon appears to stand little chance of receiving the uncollected balance of a $1.5-million pledge made by the co-chairman of its most recent capital campaign, who is under investigation for business fraud. And the university might have to relinquish $800,000 of the gift that is already in hand.
