Intervention Reduces Heavy Drinking by Students, Study Finds
Researchers at the University of Washington have found that a little education goes a long way in reducing heavy drinking among students.
High-risk drinkers -- students who had consumed five or six drinks at one sitting, at least once a month -- cut back their consumption significantly after they participated in a non-confrontational, one-on-one intervention program designed by the researchers.
